Impact: Previously the hardcopy of CEC Chartbook series published a range of hospitalisation indicators related to the appropriateness, access, efficiency and consumer participation dimensions of quality. The initial launch of the eChartbook Portal included 'Falls-related hospitalisations'. This update (June 2014) introduces Ambulance indicators for "Pre-hospital pain management" and "aspirin administration for suspected AMI and ACS". Additional quality and safety indicators will continue to be added over time.
In the June 2014 update to eChartbook, CEC has provided updated data for BTF, and Hand Hygiene, along with new data for QSA 2012, and CLP. In addition to CEC programs, new data is provide for NSW Ambulance. The CEC is working in partnership with NSW Ministry of Health, clinicians and other relevant organisations on a wider range of indicators that can be used by clinicians to improve care and the outcomes of that care which will be gradually added in future on eChartbook Portal.
