Special Reviews

The CEC conducts special reviews at the request of the Minister for Health or the NSW Health Director General. The purpose of any review is to bring about improvements in clinical quality and patient safety within NSW.

September 2007 – Permanent Pacemakers

Special review of implantation procedures for permanent pacemakers in NSW public hospitals.

June 2005 – Meningococcal Deaths

Review of administrative and system issues arising out of two patient deaths attributed to Meningococcal Disease.
