Gentamicin (paediatric)

Medication management is complex with medication-related clinical incidents being one of the leading causes of unintended harm to patients in hospital. Paediatric patients are particularly vulnerable to medication error-related harm. This may be due to both physiological factors and the additional steps required when administering medications to this patient group.

The Paediatric Patient Safety Program is developing resources to improve safe medication practices for infants and children.
